Your account

Delete your VectaMarkets account

You can ask us to delete your VectaMarkets account at any time, in the app or on the web.

The VectaMarkets app is published on the App Store and Google Play by QIDIENT GLOBAL LTD. VectaMarkets is operated by Vecta Global Ltd. It is one account, wherever you use it.

How to delete it

  1. In the app: tap your picture at the top right (Account) → Settings → Account settings → Close your account → Delete my account.
  2. On the web: Settings → Account settings → Close your account.

To confirm it is you, we email a 6-digit code to your account’s confirmed email address. If your account has no confirmed email, you type DELETE and enter your password instead.

Before you can

Anything still in progress has to finish first. The app and the site show each step:

  • Withdraw your naira. It is paid to a Nigerian bank account, and we may require it to be one in your name.
  • Withdraw any dollar balance, as USDT.
  • Sell your open positions, or wait for their markets to settle.
  • Let any withdrawal in progress finish.
  • Let any deposit you have started arrive, or its payment account expire.

A naira balance under ₦2,000 is below the withdrawal minimum; our team will seek to return it, as section 30 of the Terms of Use describes.

If something cannot be settled from your side, you can still send your request: our team will contact you about it.

What happens

  1. Your account is closed straight away, and you are signed out everywhere. You cannot sign in, trade, deposit or withdraw.
  2. We email you to confirm we have your request.
  3. Our team completes the deletion.
  4. We email you when it is done.

What is deleted or removed

Your username from everything public — your profile, the leaderboard, market activity and shared cards. Your comments stay in their discussions but show as “Deleted account” (ask Support if you want any of them removed). Your full name, email address and phone number are removed from your account, and so is your Google or Apple sign-in. Your shared cards stop working, and your signed-in devices, blocked list and notifications are removed.

What is kept

Records the law requires us to keep — identity checks (KYC) and the records of your trades, deposits, withdrawals and balances — are kept for as long as the law requires, then deleted. So that they can be matched to you if the law requires it, we keep your name, email address and phone number with them, out of use.
